conversion A
FORMER car showroom in Coventry, converted into a
headquarters for the Jesus Army in the city, has won
plaudits from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The £500,000 Lamb Street building in the city centre now
acts as a drop-in centre for the homeless.
Ken Fisher, of RIBA West Midlands, said the design by
Michael Partridge Project Partnership "used simple
materials to convert an ordinary building into a welcoming
and useful community and religious centre". |
