Praise for
conversion

A FORMER car showroom in Coventry, converted into a headquarters for the Jesus Army in the city, has won plaudits from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The £500,000 Lamb Street building in the city centre now acts as a drop-in centre for the homeless.
Ken Fisher, of RIBA West Midlands, said the design by Michael Partridge Project Partnership "used simple materials to convert an ordinary building into a welcoming and useful community and religious centre".

RELIGIOUS CENTRE: The transition from showroom to drop-in centre has won recognition
